Terms of Use (EULA)

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the BonsaiLog mobile application ("the App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Service Description

BonsaiLog is a mobile application that lets you record bonsai trees, care history (14 types of events), photos, tags, reminders, and related notes — all stored locally on your device. No account registration is required.

2. Acceptable Use

• The App is intended for personal, non-commercial use.
• You must comply with these Terms and all applicable laws in your country.
• You must not upload or record any unlawful or harmful content within the App.
• You must not decompile, reverse engineer, or modify the App.

3. Subscriptions and Billing

The App offers the following paid plans (Apple App Store or Google Play billing):

• Pro Monthly and Pro Yearly subscriptions — billed automatically through your store account.
• Pro Lifetime — a one-time purchase for permanent Pro access.

For subscriptions:

• Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account at purchase confirmation.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Renewal is charged within 24 hours before the current period ends.
• You can cancel auto-renewal at any time in your account settings on the respective store.
• Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription during the trial.

Refunds are governed by the policies of Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not process refunds directly.

4. Advertising

Free plan users see banner ads on the home screen, delivered via Google AdMob. Upgrading to Pro (any paid plan) removes all ads completely.

5. Intellectual Property

All rights related to the App — including copyrights, trademarks, and other intellectual property — belong to the developer. You retain ownership of the content you create within the App (your bonsai records, notes, and photos).

6. Disclaimer

The App is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

Because all user data is stored locally on your device, we are not responsible for data loss caused by device failure, loss, theft, or operating-system updates. We strongly recommend backing up your data regularly using the App's migration feature (Move Data / F-11).

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

7. Prohibited Acts

• Use that violates any applicable law or regulation
• Reverse engineering, decompiling, or modifying the App
• Reselling or redistributing the App or its services
• Using the App to store or distribute unlawful content

8. Apple Standard EULA

To the extent required, the Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Apple Standard EULA) applies to your use of the App on Apple platforms in addition to these Terms.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes within the App or by updating the "Last updated" date on this page. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes arising from or related to the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.
